Codename: Necril follows the story of one of the many enforcers employed by a fascist authoritarian government pillaging the planet’s final supply of combustible fuels to provide for the decadent demands of the landed elite; while the masses wallow in squalor.
Swallow your objections and suit up – silencing the squabbling masses of malcontents, pesky activists and the odd revolutionary insurgency cell is what’s putting the food on your table. Plus, it’s better than the mines.
Following the visual styles of genre-defining titles such as Robocop, Judge Dredd & Total Recall combined with the pace and bombast of deeply fleshed-out side-scrolling mechanics and ingenuity, Codename: Necril aims to provide an exhilarating and involved narrative experience and satisfying gameplay with a large skill margin.
Attention to detail is important
Cop-out titles are bullshit. That’s why we take our time when reproducing styles and ideas when we homage works that are important to us. Our games are above all a labour of love, and even at these preliminary stages of our career we set the bar high – because nobody puts our babies in the corner. We vet artists and assets meticulously, and don’t betray our ideals for a buck.
Release Schedule
This title is currently a part time endeavour, and while a lot of the under-the-hood development is being accomplished at a fair pace, we are currently all tied to full time jobs and are unable to devote as much time as we’d like. We will continue to post periodically about the game’s progress, and will look to set some plans in motion on this project in due course.
